Using/guessing anticipated NCAA point scoring, how would you rank this year's Buckeyes?

1) Snyder
2) Moore
3) Tomasello
4) B. Jordan
5.....etc.?

5. Myles
6. McKenna
7. Pletcher
8. Micah
9. Hayes
10. Campbell

And honestly, I think they have a shot at 10 AA's, so that's saying something. Pletcher at 133 is the most under the radar, intriguing fella in the line-up to me. The kid just has fire running through him. He was a very near miss up at weight and as competitive as they come. That doesn't happen in Div I NCAA wrestling. In the lineup where he belongs, and with top notch talent training above and below him in the line-up, we might see lightning strike there. I'm calling it now.

Good stuff, Shep-Diggity-Dawg.

Do you want to switch Pletcher and McKenna....?

Why so little love for Micah?

Certainly no lack of love for Micah here. But you gotta rank 'em and there are 10 spots. Where do you have him?

Does Pletcher no longer exist?

I was considering putting Pletcher as high as number 5 on my list. I like his style that much and think he's got loads of upside to him.

Re: Micah, definitely no lack of love there at all. This is more a testament of how stacked this team is. Everyone remember how pumped you were when TeShan Campbell announced he was coming to OSU? He's a damn solid competitor. And I don't think anyone is necessary saying he's horrible by putting him as the tenth man on their lists. But when your roster has Snyderman at the top and fills in with a handful of title contenders and an entire team of AA contenders you've gotta put em somewhere! Lol it's an interesting topic, for sure. Well done, Justin! :-)

I'm not knowledgeable enough on the NCAA lay of the land to rank them but am definitely transitioning into loving NCAA level wrestling.

I look at 2-8 and think "It seems like all these guys could place 2nd or 3rd but I think there is a proverbial giant at that weight class..."

Pletcher is intriguing to me because his weight cut was minimal compared to everyone else in the 141# weight class. He'll be shaving off an additional 8#, how does that affect him during the course of a season. With Gross, Micic & Brock being the top dogs at this weight starting the season, there's plenty of opportunity for him to quickly ascend the rankings.

I had Micah #6 on my list. I think the move us to 157 hurts him from an NCAA points perspective. At 149 Rutherford is a clear dominant favorite, with Sorensen and Jordan being 2a and 2b. They are close to each other, but have separated themselves from the rest of the back. That puts Jordan 3rd on an average weekend and runner-up on a hot weekend.

At 157 you have the same type of heavy favorite at the top, but behind him you have LaVallee, Kremerer, Smith and even Berger (Nebraska) that may be a step ahead of Jordan. Now Jordan may put on the weight and be a superstar at 157, but there's certainly more unknowns up a weight. It's just as likely that he takes 6th as 3rd. At 149 2nd is the ceiling and 3rd is the floor.

At 133, I see Pletcher as a low AA. I think people underestimate how difficult a task that is to accomplish. 7th, 4th, contender is a pretty amazing career.
