What are some of the craziest or most athletic or most unexpected things you've seen in practice or a match or wrestling event?

(Other than Niemann violating his various Protection Orders.)

We were at the Xenia District (I think) and I was watching Josh Falk of Bluffton wrestle.

He juked his way on his feet out of range during a flurry in such a way that required him to jog a few steps toward the out-of-bounds line while half bladed/looking over his shoulder.

He was safe, however, as he was looking back he hit a patch of the mat that was not yet dry from the previous intermission mopping and slid about 18" from a standing position, both feet flat footed, in a way that any mere mortal would have slipped with cartoon exaggeration.

Rather than slip and fall...he instinctively did a standing back flip, landing safely on both feet, jogged back to the center of the mat and continued the match.

I was usually in awe of watching Dake wrestle. It seemed no matter the situation, he was able to out-muscle, out-manuver, out-hustle, and ultimately out-wrestle his opponents and do so in jaw-drawing fashion.

Quote from Mark Niemann's post:

...and with a smile on his face. Good call!

Not a single play or moment, but the 1997 Canton McKinley v. St. Ignatius high school football playoff game at Fawcett Stadium was the most ridiculous display of talent I've ever seen on one field in high school. McKinley won the national championship that year and Ignatius was top 5.
