What technique is associated with a specific school?

I remember that the worst/least experienced wrestler on the Brookville teams back in the day had mastered the Cross Face Cradle; they could pin at any time.

Nope. Cameron and I worked hard to look at each person individually and enhance what they did.

Most would be when I was the HC, we all road hard on the wrists, getting out to the side pressuring forward. See Romero's SC match his FR year.

No team had greater influence on the state than Maple Heights. Their fireman's series was the envy of every good team in NE Ohio for decades. Then, during the early 1980's they started tilting everyone. I remember being at the Brecksville tournament and that's all anyone was talking about--Maple's tilts...how to do it and how to stop it. Obviously, the NE is no longer the only good area in the state but when Maple ruled it was. And everyone wanted to figure out what they were doing.

Mid-80s St Ed's started using the claw ride and everyone was trying to copy it. Of course, hard to duplicate their skill level.

To my recall Howard Ferguson flew-in Gene Mills for a weekend clinic. After that the whole Ed's team became experts with the spiral half. My neck still hurts, just thinking about it. Sigh.
