Commentary: Ethan "backpack" Lizak did not get a chance to compete here last year, so it will certainly be fun seeing guys try to avoid going under him. The thought of best friends/high school teammates Sean Russell and Ryan Millhof meeting in the finals is also quite intriguing. Freshman Drew Mattin gets his first test in a stacked field.

It is interesting to note, that if this reflected the real tournament seeds when they come out, that OSU has a top 4 seed in every class except NATO's 125 and KYLE's 285.
Does anyone have an update on Nato's health status. I remember hearing that they were projecting early December for him to be ready to wrestle. Just wondering if there's a chance he will wrestle in Las Vegas?
This is probably my favorite tournament of the year, because you have the hope of all of the newer wrestlers to meet or exceed the expectations you have for them. Prime on that list this year is Luke, KeShawn, Joey, and Te'shan. Also, Micah and Bo could get rematches with Shields and Valencia which could be 'very interesting'.

I don't have an update but if I were coaching him, I'd hold him out of CKLV. Too soon coming off an injury to throw him in a tough tourney like this. I'm guessing he's shooting for Dec 10th when the Buckeyes come to CVCA to honor Nate at his high school. The Bucks will wrestle Indiana. Oliver would be a good test for Nato. He's no gimme.

Your logic makes sense concerning the injury. But, as a fan, as was said about Snyder, we don't have that many more opportunities to enjoy watching him in major competitions, and I miss that.
