Pretty disappointing for Campbell and Hayes.

Hayes got tossed twice, was very gassed.

Campbell didn't really accomplish much at all in 7 minutes.

I think Hayes is still adjusting to the weight and the coaches got him focusing on strength training right now. I think by March he'll be fine. Although, Campbell was ranked higher i think Lewis was the favorite after winning gold in the U23. His only loses was to the bull. Campbell has to find a way to score points in neutral when his top game is neutralized.Overall, I would like to see OSU improve on scoring pounts on top. I think we had a solid performance this weekend and a few things to improve over the next two months.

Hayes just need to stay away from the big move and he will be fine! I’m not mad at his lost though he was looking like a 4/5 seed @ nationals. Think 6 or 7 seed is in his best interest.

Campbell was right were I thought! He’s going to be a coin flip with guys around the top 6-15 area with outside chance to knock of top guys from the top.

No real surprises today outside of Bo winning 7-3.

Mead fought hard.

Almost everything else was predictable — or at least understandable. Campbell and Lewis was a good match.

Except for Hayes. I get the first throw. It happens. The second is inexcusable with so little time left.

I kinda thought the Campbell-Lewis match was going to be a toss up, but Hayes had the 5-0 lead with lots of riding time late in the match, that one hurt. Actually I thought he did great fighting off the pin after the throw, and the good thing is the Rutgers kid has "shown his hand" so to speak, and KeShawn and the coaches will be on guard for that set up and throw in any future matches. BTW: that cow catcher move by Snyder against a much bigger guy was flawless. That kid is special. Even the Rutgers fans gave him an ovation.

Quote from Roe Fox's post:

"Mead fought hard."

I was probably most impressed with Mead's effort. He had a job to do and went out there and limited the bleeding as much as possible. Non-stop fight in him. I liked it a lot.

The Hayes match was not representative of who the better wrestler was, and the deciding points were almost certainly the result of fatigue and trying to avoid a stall call. If you’re an Ohio State fan, you can live with that loss knowing it’s not likely to be repeated. That being said, that first toss was like poetry. I was never a thrower, but I always appreciated them...nothing like a guy stepping in and committing to a high risk/high reward technique in a big time bout.

The rest of the match was about what it should be. Maybe you’d like to see a little more separation for Bo Jordan, but a Big Ten win is a Big Ten win in my eyes. The team looked good, but far from peaking, which is, I assume, right where yo wanna be in early January.

Didn't see the match. Love reading the commentary. Wish there were more of it.

Was Campbell able to ride Lewis?

14 seconds before Lewis got out.

Didn’t seem to commit to the ride...which I thought should have been his game plan

Bo seemed rather pedestrian against an inferior opponent. His heavily wrapped knee and missed match Friday may be a pause for concern. NATO, Micky, Tesean, and Bo all seem to have injuries or heavily wrapped knees. January is a grind in the big ten, and injuries could be the one major derailment into title contention. Let's hope they can all stay healthy.

Against Maryland, Te'Shan was limping during his match, but looked OK against Rutgers. Bo looked like he did last year when he slowed things down and shot sparingly. ???

Those throws against Hayes should have been ESPN’s #1 & #2 Top Plays.
