Cantini and Hoy were studs.
Cantini was rolling through the season, up by maybe ten (?)
in first round of state, as Hank said leg up, swept the other,
illegal slam called and that was all she wrote, then knocked
out when his guy lost next round.
Hoy in state finals against Peters from Claymont, in on leg, called for illegal move,
Peters didn’t continue.
Eric Hehl-Neilly from Fairview in finals as well, last second takedown for win
ruled a slam.
Blech.
Strong program, back in the day.
But boy, these were three heartbreakers...

Those comments seem remarkably similar to the Suriano quotes after he was injured last year.

If a) no surgery and b) Brady Berge doesn't come out of redshirt, I think it's safe to say they fully expect Nolf to be ready for the postseason.

Not reading too much into it, because I'm no expert on these guys but I find it interesting that the Brady Berge scenario is the scenario that people are most commonly floated out. The room is so deep that it seems to me that there are many other options too. Is Berge the clear heir apparent to Nolf? Verkleeren and Mason Manville are also between 149 and 165. The only other wrestler that can score as many as Nolf at NCAAs is probably Zain, but it is realistic to think one of these other guys could step in and AA. You'd have to look at bumping Zain up to 157 too if it meant that you believed that one of the freshman could perform better at 149.
