Discussion Topic: Bucks vs. PSU

Now that the dust settled, I hope the coaches remind Kyle that he only needed a major in the match. He got caught up in the moment and made a mistake. But Kyle always learns from them, so I look forward to a good Big Ten & NCAA, which as we all know, is a different animal than the duals. With "a little help from our friends", we just might topple the mighty PSU in March.
BTW I just heard the Ryan interview, and I guess Kyle actually needed to win by 12 to break the 5-5 tie for the dual win, not just the eight point major. So that may have explained in part why he went for the lateral drop.

How smart is Cael Sanderson?

Heading into the 197 lb match against an undefeated and number 1 ranked opponent and Captain America projected as a bonus point winner on deck and with the dual on the line he sends out Cassar instead of 7th ranked Rasheed who has 9 pins in 13 of his wins. Cassar pulls off the upset and PSU steals the dual away.

Amazing coaching job.

From everything I read Shakur beat Cassar in the wrestle off a couple of days ago but got dinged up doing so. That’s why Cassar got the start. I think Moore’s loss had more to do with Moore than anything Cael did.

Quote from Joe Kinzel's post:

"Does anyone else think that if Bo were to wrestle Hall with the same mentality he had in HS and his freshman year he would win by 3-4 points? It just seems to me he wrestles too cautiously like he’s trying not to lose instead of attacking.

Snyder tried to do too much. He needed the MD and could have had that easily had he not been so hyped up. The throw was ill advised but had it worked the whole nation would be talking about it today."

Yes, but sometimes the body doesn’t allow us to do what we want to do.

Snyder needed to win by 12 points in order for the Bucks to win the dual.

Tourney scoring way different - which still makes me feel confident in the Bucks title capabilities. The tourney scoring difference between Pletcher/Keener is far greater than difference between Hall/Bo. Yesterday they were equal. PSU will het basically no points from 125&133. Bucks NEED to get points from every weight - which isn't a stretch - to capture the title. Will be very very exciting.
