Next season's lineup?

125: Heinselman, Mead or Hunter Lucas--Bucks will have a cast of thousands but no one who is likely to challenge for AA honors. We will miss the Great Nate.

133: Pletcher--just appreciate his cool consistency and don't expect him to score in large bunches.

141: McKenna--Should continue to progress. The weight should clear out a bit.

149: Hayes--a guy who has the talent to make a huge leap. If he does, a title is possible.

157: Micah--sheer brilliance in neutral.

165: Campbell--Bucks have had bad luck recruiting this weight and really need to help Te Shan reach his potential. Keaton Anderson was a similar wrestler as a junior--tough on top, solid D but no O. He developed a nice elbow post single and used to hit it when guys got tired or lunged towards him. This one attack had a huge impact on his ability to score and he went from a solid competitor to a title contender.

174: Romero/Schierl--Romero was a prize recruit and Buck fans are used to guys who step in and immediately perform at or near AA level. Is he ready? I have no idea at this point. Schierl could challenge as he's made progress.

184: One more year of Myles. He is a pleasure to watch. One more year of a rivalry with Nickal.

197: Moore will continue to be among the best in the country.

285: Singletary steps in. Talented but similar questions to Romero. Is he ready to be a top ten guy? Will he be able to compete with the bigger guys at the weight?

Depth: Mead, Lucas, The Koontz's, Brendan Fitzgerald, Ethan Smith, Fritz Schierl, Kev Snyder plus this year's incoming recruits.

Worried about Singletary as a top Heavyweight! We need to go hard after Colton Schultz.

Singletary best Schultz at the Ironman 2 years ago. My guess is the bucks have a lot of money invested in him. Recruiting Schultz means someone sits the bench.

Chase needs about 20-25 poinds of muscle / mass added to his frame and he’ll be competing for titles.

Needs! I hope he can do it! But his losses to non-elite kids at opens has me concerned about the future of Heavyweight. But hopefully I’m wrong

Heinselman is definitely a blue chipper, but not on the level of a Lee, Suriano, or Fix type. He’s also in the same boat as Mead this year being a bit undersized. I think Mead jumps a level and is a productive 125lber next season having lifted his weigh into the weight. I think you sit Malik unless he comes in and dominates from jump. I give Singletary a lot of slack. OSU’s ability to build guys up physically is well established. He’ll adapt.

When I look at the prospects moving forward for the Buckeyes, they have a very good team coming back. Then I look at Penn State and it’s impossible not to see the difference. Penn State will be just as good next year. They’re on their third generation of NCAA championship level recruits coming in and they show no signs of slowing. They took that one year off (the year tOSU won it) red-shirting some key wrestlers, but that’s it. They just continue to roll. Ohio State will take a large step backwards next season (that’s to be expected with the loss of three 4X AAs). Penn State may actually be better next year. What they’re doing is incredible. Dare I say, it’s “Gable-esque”.

I’m not sure how Cael keeps the combo of Teasdale and RBY. Someone sits with Lee at 141!for the next three years. Teske is a 125lb lifer.

Mason Manville, who's pretty damn good, can't crack their lineup either. Stuck behind Nolf and Joseph.
