Discussion Topic: 2018-2019 Bucks Lineup
Brady Hiatt added to this discussion on August 30, 2018

Quote from James Kessen's post:

"PSU lineup could change

Rumor Hall and Joseph might switch weights and according to PSU roster Bo is going 197 and Shakur is going 184 and Cessar is going 285.

If Bo does move to 197 I wonder if Valencia moves to 184 if not Myles is the clear favorite at 184."

Seems as if it's no longer rumor. PSU roster lists them at those weights. Cessar is definite AA level wrestler who may never at B1G's. Amazing.

Hall at 65? Wow!

Hall is not going 165. At least I’ve yet to find any reports suggesting he’s making the move.

Yeah that is a rumor being talked about on the PSU boards.

Side note it sounds like Fix is going 125

Interesting. Both Ke-Shawn and Micah listed at 149. I assume there will be a wrestle-off with the loser moving up to 157 and then perhaps wrestling off against Elijah Cleary. All three are very good wrestlers and great individuals.

In my experience the Bucks roster has never been entirely accurate when it comes to weight classes.

Micah at 149 is a national title contender and possible favorite (even with difficulties on bottom). If Nickal is a 197 and Zahid stays at 174 then Myles in a solid favorite at 184. Moore and McKenna are potential finalist and I would give McKenna a decent shot against Yianni. I think Pletcher will be a solid middle AA again even with the ridiculous depth at 133. Anything beyond that will be gravy, with Singletary probably the best chance at being an impact guy out of the remaining group.

No Jaden Mattox? He is listed in the OSU student directory (not sure how up to date it is). Anyone heard anything?

I don't know anything but my advice is to assume he's gone.

I thought Yianni D was up at 149?

I like 149-Hayes and 157-Jordan...I think it maxxes out your points, although I certainly understand giving Micah his "shot".

I'd go with the best line-up, screw the redshirt.

125- Heinselman
133- Pletcher
141- McKenna
149- Hayes
157- Micah
165- Campbell
174- Romero
184- Martin
197- Moore
285- Singletary

Every guy easily qualifies. McKenna and Martin favorites to win it; PLetcher, Jordan and Moore possible finalists. Everyone but Campbell with a shot to AA (reserving judgement on Romero, as we have no idea how far he's progressed in 1 1/2 years just wrestling).

Switch Romero and Campbell. The new roster has Kaleb at 65.
I realize this isn't the powerhouse team of a year ago but I'm old enough to remember when this year's team would be about as solid a team as ever come through our fine university.

As of now I think the word is Yianni is staying at 141 and Zahid is staying at 174. Agree that Romera and Campbell flip. Campbell looked good at times last year and I really feel like the weight cut affected him. I think he is a round of 12 kind of guy at 174. If Hayes is a 149 then I think he is a solid threat to AA. I like Heinsleman but have to believe he could use a redshirt. Is the current version of him markedly better than Hunter Lucas or Braken Mead?

Heinselman is excellent but probably not yet AA material. Shirting him would be the best course of action unless he's ready to score at NCAA's.

#1 & #2 are set at 125. Possibly even #3 & #4. Who are 5-8?
