Discussion Topic: 2018-2019 Bucks Lineup

Track wrestling posted an interview with Bo. Many note resting topics discussed but regarding Micah, Bo stated he didn’t cut weight all year. I believe he said Saturday morning he weighed in 2 lbs under. I’d like to see him compete at 149 next year.

Wow! I didn't realize he was that small. Micah would be better suited at 149 for sure.

So, if micah is going 49 obviously something has to give with hayes.

1. Hayes goes 57?
2. McKenna redshirt, Hayes goes 41?
3. Pletcher goes 25, McKenna goes 33, Hayes goes 41?
4. Hayes is a backup? Would he accept that for a year?

1 and 3 seem very unlikely. I don't see how Pletcher or McKenna could drop and Hayes was already up a weight this year, could he really go up another?

Alex,

There is discussion on another board that Hayes might leave Ohio State. I hope this is not the case. Does anyone know anything further?

Damn, that was my 5th option, but I didn't want to think about it. I hope it's just a rumor. I like Hayes, he bumped up a weight for the team and did really well. He was unfortunate that Sorenson fell to the consos or he likely would have AA'd.

I like Hayes too. Was afraid when Bob P. posted Micah was certainly moving to 149 that Hayes leaving was in the works. I hope he doesn't leave but wish him well if he does move on.

I have seen on a couple of different forums mentioning that Bucks are getting a 125 transfer has anyone heard this and if so have a clue as to who it would be?

Important note:
KeShawn's father emails me there is no truth to the rumor someone started that his son would transfer-- no truth. BobP

Good to hear. By all accounts Hayes is a fine person and a talented wrestler. I've heard pre-med which means a heckuva student on top of D1 athletics. One would hope this situation could be worked out.

I've stated multiple times: these guys are all studs. We are in the golden age of Bucks wrestling.

That said, we need to accept that there will have to be shuffling, redshirting and even sitting to make the best line-up every year.

I expect that to become more and more the norm as the Bucks continue to stockpile talent. It's Iowa in the 90s, it's PSU, it's how great teams work.

Ohio State is a great team, welcome to the bigs.
