Quote from Luke Moore's post:

"I feel like Iowa is the antithesis of the current Buckeye and Penn State teams. While the top two teams in the country are all offense all the time, Iowa does NOTHING (except for Lee). Watching them wrestle Nebraska, it is hard for me to stay awake! The White/Marinelli match, there were ZERO shots the entire match! It hasn't been a whole lit different at other weights!

Give me Micah Jordan, McKenna, Martin, Moore, Nickal, Nolf, etc. any day of the week over the "Iowa Style!""

I think the first eight matches were all 0-0 after 1 period.

Who was the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty point on?

Nebraska heavyweight Jensen rode Stoll for 2 full periods for the upset.

Best part is the comments, Bosco comments: These guys have wrestled 4 times previous and were 2-2 . The Nebraska coach said he wouldn't put up any points and then he put up 10....leave the wrestling blogs to KB please and thank you."

Ahh, Bosco, that was Princeton coach saying that about Ashnault. Wrong match. Wrong dual -- but yes, leave the wrestling blogs to KB please and thank you.

bwahahahahaha

i don't like either one, but desanto is going to intentionally injure someone. big diff from blowing kisses. if he does, could cost brands his job.

I didn't see the Berge gesture, but I still think Desanto is a tool. The antics will catch up with him. I think the same about Ashnault.

Ditto, I didn’t see Berge.
But all I know is that DeSanto has now cost his team what, three team points in his last three (or maybe four) matches?
To me, he/that is nothing short of embarrassing.
And he should/must be “redirected”.

You would think that this doesn't go unnoticed by the NCAA Officials. Just let their antics go unchecked so that they peak at the Big10 and NCAA tournaments. Will be good for the Bucks in the team race.

Could be because this is a thread entitled "Iowa wrestling" and not "Penn State wrestling" or even "Antics by college wrestlers".

ps: I did not see the Berge gesture.

Speaking as an official, I am stunned that nothing seems to have been done.
I have penalized HS kids for a LOT less than what we have seen him do.
Simply amazing to me.

Hi Jim:
I'm a long-time removed from the minutiae of the sport.
So quick question for you - At what point does something become "flagrant" enough to warrant a disqualification, etc., as opposed to a mere unsportsmansmanlike conduct penalty point, and/or the loss of a team point?
