I’m here for the party today. Looks like the buckeyes are in control for second with five finalists. Malik will have his work cut out for him to qualify most likely having to flip his earlier result against Moisey. Singletary will get a wild card. Buckeyes should be sending no less than 9 to Pittsburgh. Man, I hope Micah can get to Ashnault’s legs and avoid getting turned. Also looking forward to RBY vs Desanto. Everyone enjoy today!

Heinselman with solid work wins 9-4 over Rutgers. He gets Rotundo as Moisey is done wrestling. Good shot for him to finish true 9th.

He’s got a great shot. Wonder why Moisey defaulted. He may not get a wildcard with his up and down season. Either way, Malik should qualify!

Pending Malik's 9th place bout I think you have to feel pretty good about the Bucks sending all 10 to Pittsburgh. It's absolutely ludicrous that 285 received only 7 allocations when 9 of the top 12 285's are from the big ten. Singletary's resume is going to be better than a vast majority of the automatic qualifiers.

Rotundo is the Wisc. backup, the starter that beat Mead in the dual in injured. Rotundo wrestled 106 lbs. in HS, so he sounds like he is in a similar situation as Malik, having to grow into 125.

Malik should win easily for 9th. Bucks should qualify all ten.

Count me among those who think the Bucks should have kept Heinselman in redshirt. He's so talented. He just needed time to grow into the weight. Shirt him next season and unleash a 3x AA and potential NCAA champ in a year.

I think, style wise, Suriano is not the worst matchup for Pletcher.
Go get him Luke!

Not sure about the redshirt. More concerned about Bucks seeming to struggle to put on good weight. Suriano looks big at 133, Cassar looks massive up, Dake did it 3 times and does not believe in lifting weights. When Martin and Nickal each moved up to 184, Martin struggled, Nickal did not. The list is long. Why do guys like Malik, Singletary and Hayes struggle to adapt and put on weight? As I have said in a previous post, there should be no such thing as a "small" 125 pounder.

That reversal by Ashnault was huge- killed all momentum that was all headed to Jordan. Smart move too, didn't think anyone saw that coming, gotta be more aware next time when Jordan kicks him.

Gaining weight is difficult and takes time. Malik weighed under 120 pounds at this time a year ago. He was never going to look like Nathan Tomasello a year later. Hayes aspired to wrestle 149 this season but had to bump up when he lost his wrestle-off in October. His being small is not a weight room/nutrition issue, but stems from a poor coaching decision. Tom Ryan should have recognized last summer that Hayes was unlikely to beat Jordan and told him to start eating.
As for Singletary, you've got a point there. He's known for several seasons he'd have to get bigger to wrestle heavyweight in college. Why hasn't he?

How would you suggest TR tell Hayes he isn’t besting Jordan and so start lifting?
