Just now putting the finishing touches on the 2008 State Final matches we covered last weekend in Columbus...When finished, I will send to as many cable stations I am aware of and STO, which I hope will find time to air. Brian Brakeman, Mike Gillmor, and myself announced what I thought was another year of fine matches. Here is this year's lineup: I apologize to those champs we were not able to cover this year. (That's you David Taylor!)

103 - Division II - Ty Mitch (Aurora) v. Johnni DiJulius (Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit)

112 - Division I - Jamie Clark (Lakewood St. Edward) v. Sam White (Massillon Perry)

119 - Division I - Garrett Henry (Solon) v. Nick Lawrence (Westlake)

125 - Division III - Ben Sergent (Troy Christian) v. Troy Opfer (Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic)

130 - Division I - Seth Horner (Massillon Perry) v. Brad Squire (Wadsworth)

135 - Division I - Josh Speelman (Mansfield Madision) v. Collin Palmer (Lakewood St. Edward)

140 - Division I - Richie Spicel (Brunswick) v. Kyle Lang (Brecksville)

145 - Division I - Tony Jameson (Austintown Fitch) v. T.J. Rigel (New Carlisle Tecumseh)

152 - Division I - Jesse Dong (Westerville North) v. Nick Heflin (Massillon Perry)

160 - Division II - Eric Cubberly (Pemberville Eastwood) v. Jon Bittinger (Lisbon Beaver)

171 - Division I - Brian Roddy (Lakewood St. Edward) v. Aaron Winemiller (Amherst Steele)

*171 -Division III - End of match - Chris Phillips (Monroeville) v. J.D. Smyers (Creston Norwayne)

189 - Division II - Cody Magrum (Oak Harbor) v. Jeremy Foster (Pemberville Eastwood)

215 - Division I - Orlando Scales (Cincinnati Elder) v. Adam Cogar (Barberton)

285 - Division III - Don Stocum (Kirtland) v. Derick Hesson (Caldwell)

Please keep in mind some of the matches are chosen because of the proximity to our station here in Macedonia. I don't want to be accused of slighting anybody. Hope all will enjoy! My congratulations to all the winners.

Jeff Cole, Executive Director

When finished, will they possibly be on Time Warner Digital Cable?

Jeff has so graciously agreed to send a copy to DCTV in Defiance, Ohio, and they have agreed to play this any any others he sends as they can. The contact at the station, Curt Aldrich, is all for helping promote wrestling as much as he can! He did one Defiance match this year and wants to do more next year including the sectional, district, and state tournaments! Big thanks to him and Jeff from Defiance. Oh by the way, that is on Time Warner Cable!
