Dan Cosimi added to this discussion on July 19, 2019

To close out the competition in Fargo, four wrestlers from Ohio earned All-America honors in Junior Greco-Roman. As a team, Ohio finished in thirteenth place overall in the 46-team field.

Nevan Snodgrass, an incoming senior at Fairmont High School in Kettering, went 5-1 to place third in the country in Junior Greco-Roman at 170 pounds. Earlier this week, he placed third in 16U Boys' Freestyle, making him one of only two wrestlers from Ohio at any weight class to earn double All-America honors at the Junior level. This spring, he was the USA Wrestling-Ohio Junior Greco-Roman and Boys' Freestyle State Champion at 170 pounds. Snodgrass earned his third-consecutive All-Ohio honor in March when he placed third at the OHSAA Division I State Championships at 170 pounds after placing fourth at 160 pounds as a sophomore and fourth at 145 pounds as a freshman.

Alex Coleman, an incoming senior at Ross High School in Hamilton, went 6-2 to place fifth in the country in Junior Greco-Roman at 285 pounds. This spring, he was the USA Wrestling-Ohio Junior Greco-Roman and Boys' Freestyle State Champion. In March, Coleman earned his first All-Ohio honor and his first state championship in his first trip to Columbus, winning the OHSAA Division II State Championship at 285 pounds. Coleman was a state alternate at 285 pounds as a sophomore and a district alternate at 220 pounds as a freshman.

Kevin Contos, an incoming senior at Genoa High School, went 6-3 to place sixth in the country in Junior Greco-Roman at 152 pounds. This spring, he was the USA Wrestling-Ohio Junior Greco-Roman and Boys' Freestyle State Champion at 160 pounds. In March, Contos earned his second All-Ohio honor by winning the OHSAA Division III State Championship at 152 pounds after placing sixth at the Division I State Championships as a freshman while wrestling for Jeremiah Clay High School in Oregon. As a sophomore, Contos placed sixth at the Division III district level.

Matt Cover, who just completed his senior year at Bay High School, went 4-3 to place eighth in the country in Junior Greco-Roman at 195 pounds. Earlier this week, he placed sixth in 16U Boys' Freestyle, making him one of only two wrestlers from Ohio at any weight class to earn double All-America honors at the Junior level. Cover earned his second All-Ohio honor in March when he placed third at the OHSAA Division II State Championships at 195 pounds after also placing third as a junior at 195 pounds, qualifying as a sophomore at 182 pounds, and earning the alternate spot as a freshman at 170 pounds. This coming school year, Cover will continue his academic and wrestling careers at Princeton University.
