Not surprised. Hayes will be the starter soon. With sasso going 157 next year and 165 is kharchlas to lose. No room in the lineup for him. Plus the off the mat issues

Paddy is c/o 2021. Either way, I think Maddox's time in the lineup would be limited. Unfortunately he never did anything to stand out to solidify himself as a starter.

This is unfortunate as Maddox was a very entertaining wrestler to watch. However, It was clear during his first round victory in Vegas that he is not as technically sound as he needs to be to have success at the D-1 level.

Too bad, I liked watching him. Maybe he will show up at another school if he still has the desire, i.e. Cam Tessari, Joe Phlug, Chase Marsteller and be successful. Maybe time away from the sport will change him?? With his ability I'm sure there are people that would take a chance with him, just perhaps not a D-I school.

thats terrific. i like where Cam said he purposely went to Lindsey because its was in a dry county ---takes alot to turn your life around, most cant do it (or don't do it.) My hats off to him. Bravo.

I imagine his name could pop up in the transfer portal... if he has the ability to not stay local. Between the shaky start to his freshman year, and Ryan's comments earlier this year about not fulfilling his responsibilities off the mat, this was always a possibility.

Overall, not surprising, but the timing is interesting because he seemed to be travelling with the team at the CSU Open just this past weekend.

You have to really want to be an excellent wrestler to excel at the D1 level.
