Discussion Topic: Who to root for???
Luke Moore added to this discussion on December 20, 2019

So Cox comes to the RTC, arguably the best wrestler in the world right now. He is either going up to compete against Snyder, or down to wrestle Taylor. So, who are you pulling for?

On one hand, you have Snyder who won 3 titles for the Bucks and an Olympic and World title while he was in Columbus.

In Taylor, you have a guy who prepped in Ohio and obviously has been a big part of Ohio wrestling history. He is also an aggressive wrestler who is simply fun to watch.

Then there is Cox. Seems like the All American kid. Musician, singer, extreme talent, who just now has gained ties to the Buckeye state.

So...who are you pulling for? Honest answers only please.

Honest answers? You want honesty!?!? Here’s honesty - Dan Ransick hates them both so Cox is his guy.

True story!

I’ve known David since 6th grade and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with everything (minus going to NLWC which is not a crime by any stretch) that KS has done. I want Taylor or Snyder to win - but only slightly ahead of JC - who himself seems to be a classy guy.

I really don’t believe that Cox will go up to 97kg. The path to Gold is less arduous at 86kg. I know Russia has been banned from Tokyo but Sadulaev will probably still be there in all likelihood. That being said I’m pulling for the guy affiliated with the Ohio RTC, Cox. David Taylor doesn’t claim Ohio so I don’t claim him over other domestic competitors. In the Stars and Stripes It’s a different story.

I’ll be heavily rooting for Cox regardless of opponent.

Me three. Cox all the way now that he's the Ohio RTC competitor.

I don’t root for Taylor over any other American. Like already stated, he doesn’t represent Ohio.

Between Cox vs Snyder, let the best man win should they wrestle each other.

If J'Den Cox could occupy both 86kg and 97kg I would be so happy. I don't need D.T. "Photoboy" who has turned his back on Ohio and Graham over the past years. He is everything wrong with wrestling.

Don't even get me started on that turncoat we called Benedict Snyder. I haven't seen that level of betrayal since Brutus stabbed Caesar. I hope him and Carl have 0 success and hit each other both with chairs.

This is easily the worst post on this site. Ever.

By worst you mean best. Benedict Snyder betrayed the whole Buckeye nation leaving for Penn State and Carl. D.T. can't go a day without taking a selfie of himself with a bad motivational quote.

J'Den should be the rep for both 86 and 97 kg and win gold in both.

I want Cox at 97KG, simply because I think he is our best shot at beating Sadulaev.

Cox!!!! Snyder will not beat saduleuv again. But I believe cox will go down and beat Taylor who if I remembered correctly was crying about how cox was wrestling at the olympics. Saying it was making him sick to watch cox wrestle and he was given the golden platter and on and on. Poor sport and salty. I will thoroughly enjoy him beating either one.
