Seniors were honored today at the Covelli Center and Keyshawn was one of the guys recongnized. While I would love to see him get another year and come back and compete, it looks likely that his time in a Buckeye singlet may be done. I want to acknowledge his contribution to the Buckeyes overall success these last few years. On elite teams like Ohio State (and Penn State and Iowa) there will be blue chipper that don't make the lineup their ideal weight. These guys are great wrestlers and better than 99.9 % of us but when you have multiple time AA in front of you what can you do. In a world of tranfer portals and jumping ship for the better deal, I appreciate the guys who stuck around and wrestled out of weight class for the betterment of their team. Here's to guys like Keyshawn Hayes, Ian Paddock, Jason Johnstone, and T.J. Enright. The real fans appreciate your sacfice and contribution even if it wasn't always reflected in wins and losses or AA finishes.

Good post Scott. I agree with your sentiments. Some of the most influential kids can simply be good training partners. No one gets better without talent all around them.

Very well said. Notice all of the guys you've listed above also have something in common? Character. Some lessons are bigger than wins, losses and accomplishments. These kids all have it in spades!
