I want to see Heinselman AA as well. If I had a "wishes for this season" list, that would be near the top of mine.

The redshirt looks good on paper, but there are no guarantees. Maybe Kilkeary shows up and is already better. Maybe Gonzales makes a leap this year and takes the spot.

Malik isn't at the level where you can just pencil him in as an AA because a bunch of guys graduate. He's perpetually in that 10 - 20 range, and there's a good chance he still would be in 2 years.

I'm curious how many 6th year guys who had never aa'd before were able to aa this year.

Based on some #'s from someone on themat.com, 6 placed the same, 20 better and 36 worse. out of 6th year guys.

33 had never aa'd and of those 5 were able to aa

Devin Turner (R16 - 8th)
Kizhan Clarke (NQ - 2nd)
Eric Shultz (R16 - 7th)
Greg Bulsak (R24 - 8th)
Christian Lantz (R24 - 8th)

Meyer Shapiro a stud from Wyoming Seminary looks to be headed to Cornell. He would hae looked great fo the Bucks at 157. (1 weight that's really up in the air after this season) At least its not Iowa or Penn st.

Now let's focus on MAM

Are we even sure he would be allowed to redshirt? Technically he has exhausted his eligibility, but he gets an extra year due to the Covid rule.
This would be an exceptionally rare situation, but I’d be surprised if you were able to slide a redshirt in prior to the extra year when you’ve already used your time. I wonder if a better NCAA option to the Covid year would have been just to say you get four NCAA tournaments…fit them in however you want over the next five years, etc. that would have covered the senior class that got screwed, and any existing college athlete that was in school At that time.

No question the NCAA blew that call. While seniors lost their opportunity at the tournament, others were given the chance at five, ridiculous. And I’m only going to say that once.

I thought "technically" in the NCAA's eyes 2021 doesn't even exist, so he hasn't yet exhausted his eligibility.
