True, and it's probably part of it. I would say it would carry more weight if they had no success at all from anyone, top level or not, and that's not the case.

A respected coach in MN who has competed and coached at that level thinks he’s much more than a project. We shall see!

What he hell happened in the Mendez match? Cannon escapes and Jesse's immediately in on a deep double but they banged heads. Ref stops match and neither awards two for a TD nor assesses injury time which would have given Jesse choice of positions. I am baffled. So Cannon gets hit in the head and receives every benefit of the doubt.

BINGO, tellin lke it is Alex, recruiting miscaculations in years they spent alot of money (for whatever reason, they are misses) ... i think 2022 & 2023 will fare much better, Mendes was no miss

Not sure in which recruiting class he goes but add Anthony Echemendia to that list of disappointments. Tom Ryan for some reason was fascinated with him. In hindsight, he was never gonna excel in college as he had sparsely competed in folkstyle.
Gallagher’s showing at Big Ten is a terrible look for the program. There’s no explanation.
Overall, I do feel the team performed fine. D’Emilio and Orndorff are ready to contend for AA honors, Smith should podium, and Sasso will probably make the finals.
Romero looks like he may still be battling injury. Mendez got a wakeup call.

2019, but i can't find where he was ranked. i was only including highly ranked guys in my list, but yeah, that was a miss.

good catch, Ech maybe not ranked for immigration paperwork reasons-- but was Fargo champ and thought of at the time as a prize catch (maybe)
