Is it confirmed that Davino will be at 133? I thought 125 was a possibility? He could be a difference maker there next year in a wide open weight.

I’m not convinced moving up to 141 makes sense for Bouzakis. Jesse is an average sized 141 and I don’t know that a year in RS changes that. I’d wrestle Jesse w/o a RS and recruit Blaze and Bo hard. One of them takes over 141 when Mendez graduates.

Just before 12 min in he claims 133 is most likely. He hit a growth spurt. Someone is going to have to go to 149 and Jesse makes the most sense. I think he makes the move in two years. I have no inside knowledge in this but it looks like Bouzakis may have problems with the weight. If he doesn’t have problems with the weight you can redshirt Davino. If Bouzakis is moving up then you redshirt Mendes.

Just want to say I love Davino's skill set and look forward to seeing him in a Buckeye singlet. That top batch of national guys in his weight range is all supremely talented, Rainey, Basset, Lilledahl, Forrest, Blaze, they all have big success in front of them, imo, and Davino has been right there with all of them the past few years. I agree with the earlier sentiments of getting the best in the room and let them work it out, it's how Penn State has operated, and supplemented holes via the portal, although I appreciate being in the corner of the team that seems committed to not doing that.

Seth Mendoza is announcing tomorrow at 11 am. People seem to think that Ohio state may be a co favorite. Davino is his friend and may be trying to pull strings. Mendoza has close losses this year to Jax Forrest and lilledahl. He is talented just not sure how we would fit in all these lower weights eventually. Still need to go hard after Bassett and blaze regardless.

Bucks are in good shape at 125 with McCrone and Kilkeary. They are also set at 133 with Davino. Bouzakis is 133/141. Mendez is 141/149. Same for Cannon. I see Mendoza as a luxury more than a necessity but Anthony Ralph, Tom Ryan and the rest of the staff have a bigger clue than I do about who they want and why.

Mendoza picks Missouri. Good for him and for Mizzou.

Was hoping that if he didn’t pick the Bucks he’d pick Illinois. Mike Poeta needs in-state talent like Mendoza to turn around the once proud Illini.

Agreed. Always silently rooting for Illinois, especially since Heff used to coach there.

Focus must stay on Blaze, Bouzakis, Bassett.

What do we know about the Bucks’ chances with the Killer B’s - Blaze, Bouzakis, Bassett? Any insider info?

I have less than zero insider info, but I would assume it will be an uphill battle to pull the McCort kids away from Cael. I'm really curious if Blaze would follow his brother to Purdue, i thought Joey was a marqee recruit for Purdue, i would be shocked if they landed Marcus. Ohio State should be pushing HARD for him. Bouzakis should be a priority recruit as well, he fits nicely into an area of need for the Bucks.

I’ve seen reports that the other OSU is favorite for Jax and he is there a lot.

I would be thrilled - getting any of those McCort kids away from Cael, especially with Gibsons at/going to PSU is a huge win.
