Yes, Teske was entered after deadline, so he became automatic 14 seed.
Worked out well for Iowa, smh, as he’s into the semis.

Wheels are coming off boys. Rygo and Welsh go down. Big Ten wrestling is so tough. Maybe Geog pulls an upset. Bucks have a lot of conso work to do to salvage. They are losing all the toss ups, and in some cases matches they won earlier in the season. Hopefully they can pull it together. I forget sometimes that 2/3rds of the lineup have never wrestled at the big ten tournament . Different animal

Anyone know when B10 start? Asking for a Buckeye coach.

Tough tournament, the toughest.
And tough session.
But young team.
And they’re fighters.
So here’s hoping they come charging back.

Tough session but a lot of matches still to go. No final judgments until Sunday night.

Minnesota and Rutgers are having really solid tournaments. In the post Gable Stevenson era the Gophers continue to develop solid guys. No champs, but solid dudes. Michigan is performing like a veteran team should, albeit a team of mercenaries.
After the pillaging at Northwestern, it’s hard to watch a great program struggle like this. If you blinked you wouldn’t know they competed today. Not good when Trevor Chumbley is your flag bearer. No shade on the coaching staff, just a sad reality of what NILs impact is. For wrestling, the rich get richer, in terms of programs with deep pockets

I can’t imagine how discouraging Northwestern’s pillaging would be for the coaching staff. Seems like it would make you want to quit.

The performance has been awful and has highlighted some of the questionable decisions that have been made regarding the lineup.

Not a final judgment but there’s not much to be encouraged by thus far.

It doesn't look like the relationship between Hepner and the coaching staff is a good one. He appears to be a bit of a head case.

Can someone explain what Hepner was doing? I may have missed something, but he rode him the whole third period, but no back. Why didn’t he kick him?

Pretty disappointing tourny for **some of** the Bucks, but I'm not worried. Let's see what happens at Nationals.

I wonder if the 3 week layoff before big tens is a factor. i don't recall them having that much time off before?? too lazy to look it up.

I was wondering the same thing, at a certain point when you can't turn the guy you have to turn him loose?? Bo was great with his power half, turning guys, and Hepner just seems to only look for a cradle, and it was driving me crazy when he riding and can't turn the guy for back points!! Do they need to bring in Mitch Clark to tutor him?

Good evening session so far, Geog, Rogotzke, and Welsh with nice wins on the back side, big semifinal win over Woods for Mendez.
