Nic showed he can go with the best of them. Wish he had turned that cradle for back points. Hope for a good run on the backside.

Casey, I believe Fix was warned in the third. Nic maybe should have worked harder for a pushout in the final 20 seconds but unlikely Fix would’ve gotten dinged a second time.

Big Rocco win in SV. Awaiting him tomorrow is a third match with Edmond Ruth.

Nice win for Feldman. I like that single with the cutback to finish, reminded me of a Logan Stieber TD. Actually a lot of the freshman are doing pretty good, I mean Ryder lost barely to a senior from Minn. Bouzakis losses by 1 point to the #1 seed, also a senior. The future looks bright.

Does Ruth ever get called for stalling? You can count his actual TD attempts on one hand.

Bucks with 8/9 to day 2.
Looking really good so far.
McCrone with a 1pt loss to the 4 seed, then a 14 zip backside victory.
Bouzskis 1pt loss to 1 seed Fix.
Mendez dominates both matches.
DD about as expected.
Wilcox with 2 wins (1 in pigtail) as the 32 seed!
Rocco into the quarters as a frosh.
Ryder with a pin and OT loss to the 2 seed.
Geog not great.
Feldman cruising.
Very winnable matches out there next round for the most part. Excited for tomorrow!

"Bouzakis almost had it. I was calling for the upset. Fix just doesn’t look sharp"

Bouzakis only got off one shot in final 1:15 of the match. Not enough attempts to get a score of old man Fix.

Ruth is a slightly more offensive Lewann. Slightly.

Man, I thought Ryder was going to knock off Salazar, he spent most of the third period in exactly the ties and positions we have seen him be so dangerous from, but he couldn't generate anything against Salazar, who is quietly having a fantastic season. Maybe a missed opportunity there, but it may have been a freshman performance more than anything.

Judging strictly on results the Bucks had a good day. The three guys seeded to make the quarters made the quarters, and McCrone and Wilcox had nice upset wins on the backside.
Judging on performance, the Bucks were phenomenal. McCrone, Bouzakis and Rogotzke each came within a point of pulling the upset of the tournament. Mendez beat the daylights out of his opponents. Feldman destroyed the same Iowa guy that gave him fits two weeks ago. Rocco remains super difficult to score on.
Only bummers were Geog, who had a tough draw with two opponents from the Big Ten, and D’Emilio who couldn’t keep it competitive with Arrington.
Tom Ryan has the troops wrestling with confidence. But today is a new day and the matches are about to get tougher.
This tournament is always brutal but even more so with the inclusion of these super seniors. Datiom Fix is 26! For perspective, John Smith retired from competition at 26.
