I kind of picture Tom Ryan going back and forth in his head like Hamlet trying to decide what to do.
"Should I always be loyal to my guys? Should I buy a really good wrestler?"
Michigan has a lot of money and they're using it to muscle their way into the conversation about best non PSU team.
Personally, I think their vaunted coaching staff is covering up deficiences but I also don't blame them for spending the cash.

Hank -- it sure does seem that for such a star studded coaching staff, they are saying "we must get transfers (grad or otherwise) in order to be competitive. They would be bottom dwellers of the B1G if they didn't have the transfers.

Good point. Where do Iowa and UM finish this year without the transfer portal?
I think both only had 1 AA each with talent recruited out of high school. Granted Amine and Lewan were multiple time AAs. Iowa had Ayala. Glazier was capable and the gambling sanctions took away from their ranks, but that would have been a brutal year for both without transfers.
They better keep raising cash with that kind of production.
Big Ten has and always will be brutally tough. Eats its own.

Cooper Flynn 125 VT is in the portal.
They just signed 133 McCongale who transferred from Lehigh after being beat out by Crookham,
Flynn must want to go 133.
Would you look at Gibson who decommitted from PSU, with the hopes it helps land his cousin Bo?

Bucks have missed out on Ohio studs David Carr, Bryce Andonian and Cam McDaniel in recent years. I also think they blew it on Jaxon Joy. He's really good. Yes, I understand Carr was always going with Dad. And no one expected Andonian to be a 3x AA (4x?).
The #1 priority is Marcus Blaze. You get him because he's too good to ignore.

184 Clayton Whiting from Missouri is in portal and has 3 years of eligibility left. He was #2 recruit at 182 coming out of HS.
Could he be a 197?

Whiting is Askren trained. Wonder why he’s leaving Askren’s alma mater in Missouri.
He wrestled last season at 184. Bucks are set there with Rogotzke and maybe Welsh.
At 197, I’m inclined to give Geog another year unless a title contender emerges in the portal. He needs to get bigger. Right now he’s caught between two weights. That’s a relatively easy fix.
