Wwe released him right after Olympic trials. Hopefully he comes back to wrestling. If not UFC is probably his next option.

These guys have to be really good at selling themselves as characters to make it. There are other pro wrestling outfits besides WWE if he wants give it a go. He may just not have been ready to do it.

He needs to build on his image.
Hard take is that he needs to work on his charisma and act. Kind of boring as is. You have to make the crowd love or hate you based on appearance, actions and speaking. I get the feeling that people come away with a meh feeling.
Amateur wrestling loves him because he performs, and we don't care about the other stuff nearly as much.
Pro wrestling is about the image and optics; second cousin to politics.
That being said, he can win at MMA in short order and do what Lesnar did IMO.

It's not second cousin to politics. It's the same. The only difference is Pro wrestlers know it's fake. Some politicians have no idea.

Gable missed the real NIL gravy train by a couple of years. Have to imagine in today's environment things would've gone a little differently.
He's too talented of an athlete to not be competing somewhere. It's just a shame he missed this Olympic cycle without much to show for it.

Steve Austin was a middle of the road pro wrestler who'd shuffled through a couple personas until he came up with "Stone Cold", and, more importantly, his catch phrase, "Because Stone Cold Said So!" That makes all the difference.
