Tommy Tye. Dude was wicked on his feet and a bully on top. Not a good combo for an opponent.

Tommy Tye was a beast. He beat me up pretty good in a practice. First taste of what state champ looked like.

Yep. Dude was a force on the mat. I think he would have been an elite college wrestler had he been more prepared off the mat. He had a blast double the was flat out explosive. Like a freight train. And great hips too. Mean whizzer.
On top was where he really excelled IMO. He was a bully. Great with tilts but could also ride legs and crank on shoulders.
I wrestled (and got hammered by) some real good ones. Marchette, Wineberg, Adam Sellett, Richie Root. But Tye was the one that brought the most amount of dread.
