Hank - my brother coaches at Big Walnut. His 140, who is an up and comer, won his sectional after being unseeded.

His reward was Eddy in the first round of the district, and that dude is no joke.

He lost 7-2 in the thrid place match, although I would speculate that something was off....

Graham has wrapped up the DII title by now. They have 10 semifinalists and could of had 12 if the Stephens didn't lose which is just insane to think about.

Graham is favored in the 112, 119 (very close), 125, 145, 152, 160, 171 and 285 bouts. With those 10 semifinalists only three are seniors which pretty much means that Graham will be even better next year than this year. Along with the 8 projected finalists 7 of them are favorites in the finals which means they could break the record of 6 state champions after all.

I saw that Hiles lost to Walls. Is that a big upset?

I think that was the first time that Hiles has lost to Walls, and Walls has had a few losses this year, so I think it's a bit of an upset.

Was Graham's Stephens sick? I see that he went 2 and out when he was the expected champion. Sometimes after losing that first match and you know you can't achieve your goal, you just can't mentally prepare yourself for that second match.

I believe Hiles had beaten Walls the previous 8 times they had wrestled in their careers. I didn't expect that to happen or did I see Stephens going two and out.

i think that match was taken away from hiles by the ref...2 stall calls in the first period? i believe it was the same period correct me if im wrong. All walls did was block off hiles under hook the whole time

Tank pinned Boyd. Any details?

To me, it looked like Coby Boyd was a half step slower then he usually is. It seemed like Kirk Tank could easily tell the shots from Coby and knew how to counter/defend.

Boyd has been banged for the second half of the season. He wasn't himself out there. I would like to see how he does if he goes to Senior Nationals.
