BT tourney is brutal. Adam Tirapelle commented on twitter that it might be the toughest folkstyle tourney in country including NCAA's.

Nice win by Smith! Takes the sting out of Heinselman and D'Emilio both losing.

I love Heinselman but he's so damn small compared to upper echelon guys at the weight. I think he wrestles as well as he can.

I don't know if we can be friends. :)

NCAA seeding at 165, 174, 184 & 285 will be very interesting. The top guys in these weights, for the most part, have only lost to other B1G guys while a few non-B1G guys not the same comp.

It hurt, but I had to do it for Smitty.

Orndorf wrestled hard against Lance. Solid shots and nice top work. Unfortunately he broke position and it cost him.

Malik seeded 4 will finish 5
Dylan seeded 7 will finish 5
Sasso seeded 1 will finish 1/2
Carson seeded 1 will finish 3/4
Ethan seeded 5 will finish 3/4
Romero seeded 3 will finish 3/4
Hoffman seeded 9 finished 8th
Tate seeded 8 finished 8th

If you remove all the 25 year olds who got a free year do to Covid Bucks could be winning this.

Are Malik and Dylan both getting ff's?

Schroeder MFF’d his last match and Rivera MFF’d his last two, so I think it’s safe to assume they’ll continue to MFF against Malik and Dylan.

That will help for team race. Bucks are in 4th with NW on their heels. NW has to be the biggest surprise in the BT Tourney. They have a much better team than I realized.

Gomez looked a cut above Sasso there.

Sasso gets taken down three times. Pretty much dominated by Gomez. Another uninspiring performance.

Its hard to say anything negative about sasso only having 2 losses. Only thing i can say is its not the same version from last year. Kid he just lost to is strong and the funk isn't going to work against him like the other guys.

Who knows what it is, weight cut or whatever, its just a different version. If he doesn't figure it out, he may be lucky to finish in the top 4 at the ncaas. Don't get me wrong, hes still great.

That loss screws Sasso for NCAAs. He will be on Yianni’s half of the bracket now.

Not if he goes in as the 3rd seed. If hes 4th he would be in his half. Unless of course we have a new #1.

I think a lot of people have said the same thing, he relies on counter wrestling too much and not enough offense. It's nothing he can't improve on though. At least his match against Gomez didn't have any controversial calls, it was pretty straight forward.
