Starocci has shown a decided lack of class with his social media posts of late in particular his comments towards Jordan Burroughs.

Bucks gotta be concerned that Marcus Blaze will be in State College for the Olympic Trials. He’ll be getting facetime with coaches and wrestlers and also a chance to absorb the fan atmosphere.
The announced commitments of Bouzakis and Shaw is curious. Feels like the Bucks’ staff wanted to create a little momentum heading into this weekend. A game of chess?

Davino won Jr. Central Regionals at 138. I assume this means 125 is out of the question for him?

125 is not in the picture. He said about 6 months ago in an interview that he outgrew 125 and 133 is his probable weight. This just confirms it.

Kilkeary is the present and future at 125 for the Bucks. He’s a proven winner whose needle is pointing up. High motor, doesn’t give up anything easy. Don’t be surprised if he emerges as a contender in this thin field.
McCrone looks too big to return here. My guess is we see him at 133 giving Bouzakis an occasional break.
Davino sits for a year and then takes over 133. Bouzakis and Mendez slide up.

Agree with this.
I see Kilkeary this year having a season much like Bouzakis' freshman campaign (i.e. some great wins, some head scratching losses).
125 not as thin as last year, though. Not many exits + a handful of talented freshmen incoming.

Vinny kilkeary I believe has a real chance to all American. He looked very good at the us open with wins over top recruits Mendoza and Knox. His only loss was to Lilladahl who I think wins it all at 125 this year.
Ohio state has a lot of depth as the backups could be a top 20 team.
125 mccrone
133 davino/ Gonzales
149 cannon/ Herman
157 wilcox
165 Birden
174 welsh ( carson isn’t coming back to sit)
184 Shumate
285 neves
Every one of these guys is a probable NCAA qualifier. If Sammy comes back healthy then demilio / paddy will also be in the depth chart.
Surprised none of these kids left for the portal.

Saw video of Davino competing over the weekend at 138 pounds. He looked the weight.
No chance we see him at 125. Better question is if he can make 133 comfortably.
Stating the obvious, but Davino is very, very good.

With Shumate going 92 kg.(202.4 lbs) in the U23 trials, it makes me wonder if he has decided to challenge Geog for 197 next season?

Hank, Geog must get stronger to compete at 197 in the Big 10. He can do it, but an offseason cut to 202 pounds compromises that goal. The focus should be putting on good weight.

He could wrestle 97kg which is what 213lbs? He needs to get into wrestling shape as well. He always seemed to gas.
