2. Penn St. 101.5
3. Oklahoma St. 87.5
4. Iowa 74.5
5. Edinboro 62.0
6. Cornell 53.0
7. Ohio St. 52.0
8. Virginia Tech 49.0
9. Oklahoma 45.0

I think two wins tonight gets the Bucks to 60pts? The team pt deducted at 125 really hurts the chances of top 5....still not impossible with bonus.
let's GO BUCKS!

Quote from Hank Kornblut's post:
|
"The top four at 133 are outstanding and each is good enough to be champ. They are clearly separate from the rest of the weight.
Same thing at 141 with Logan, Port, Retherford and Carter except that Logan is a step above (I don't believe in jinxes)."

I've got a few private messages that would disprove the last part of your post! :-)

You edited my Buckeye Bracket post to remove the Worst Case Scenarios that had Logan and Nick losing because you were superstitious. Just thought it was funny.

Perry wrestles like Nick.:) He's not about to shoot.
Edit - And he makes a liar of me with an awesome takedown of Howe.

Yeah, that 174 lbs final was unfortunate. One real shot, and zero attempts to turn from top. Matches like this are bad for the sport. A casual fan would look at it, get bored, and change the channel immediately. I can't believe it, but Freestyle wrestling has become much more fun to watch than Folkstyle.
If the NCAA is serious about saving the sport, they need to reconsider their officiating of riding. It's insane how little stalling is called on top. It could transform the sport if we had to see real action on the mat. Maybe even scoring!

Prediction: Heflin gets dinged for stalling with 5 seconds to go for the loss.

Heflin didn't deserve to win. Can't wait until under 10 to go to start something.

I agree with that. His tactics finally did him in.

I disagree. Thought it was a horseshit call from a weak ref who caved to the crowd. The first stall call was justified/fine, the second was horseshit and of course decided the match.

Agree, the stalling call was bad. Nick wrestled his plan and lost due the stalling point. If no stalling it goes to OT. With the stalling he loses by 1/2 second. A 5/5/2 career is pretty impressive. I'll take a Heflin on my team any day. Proud of you Nick!

As much as I wanted Heflin to win -- he did NOTHING the first 6:50 of the match. Stall calls deserved. Then he had 35 seconds or more after the call to get going and waited till 10 seconds left.
