I don't know if you can redshirt someone as good as Logan Stieber. I think he is in the hunt for a national title right away. Maybe I am wrong but this kid is great...

I think you're right that he could be in the title hunt right away. I just meant it from a team perspective; if he has more than 2 years with the class of 2011, they have a better chance to win more titles.

I doubt they'll redshirt him, though.

Demas could stay at 165 if the team needed him to, I guess- he isn't too big right now according to an interview he gave Zeb at Medina. He has the frame to fill out to be quite big, though. I perceive the plan to be Garcia at 165 and Demas at 174 due to his frame. To my knowledge, Garcia has only competed at 171 this year, but that might just be not wanting to cut weight.

As far as redshirting Stieber goes- there is no need as he is completely ready to be right up there with the best in the nation right off the bat next year (and I think would be quite competitive this year). I think Triggas is too big for 125, anyway, so I see that working out like this perhaps-

125- Stieber
133- Triggas (Paddock RS)
141- Palmer (if he can hold this weight- something I doubt)

If Palmer can't hold 141, you could either have Paddock go that weight, or redshirt him and wrestle Harrington there. Palmer making 141 would help the team a lot, as Kusar or possibly even Jameson could man 149.

I agree Pat very much so. I think Stieber would AA this yr if he was in college. I am excited for the future at OSU!

Pat, regarding Demas, I agree. His coach told me he weighed out at 165 at Medina. He could grow to be a college 174, but I believe that would definitely require a RS year in the weight room.

Yeah, pretty much.
