Camp got beat and had a few nice shots but wasnt really close to finishing anything.
174-184 were almost unwatchable unless you were a Gopher fan.

Since I'm only keeping up via twitter, I can't see what's going on. It sounded like the Paddock vs Ness match was closer than the score indicated.
I'm left scratching my head on the Heflin match. He typically doesn't give up that many points in a month much less in a match. For those who saw it, what's your take?

Paddock came out and got 2 TD and then got with a couple of funk moves and that was pretty much all she wrote. From there he seemed a little hesitate to take a shot because of the funk.
Heflin just got dominated from all positions nuff said.
Triggas Ness had some great scrambles as did Demas vs. Yohn and I don't know how Yohn didnt get the one TD he had Demas leg over his head.
Stieber did his thing same with Cam.

I missed the match until the middle of 174. From what I saw, Minny was more prepared at 174, 184 and 197.
Capone continues to wrestle very well. I realize that many might not have thought it was wise of him to shoot with time running out in the third but I would disagree. Capone was not likely to win in OT. Late in the third is a good time to try and beat a great opponent by catching him with his guard down. It didn't work but I salute the effort.

The ohio State wrestling team is over rated, and at this time can not compete with the top teams in D1 wrestling.
I read the thread last week(mat mom) and it made me take a page from Dan Hawkins the former football coach at Colorado. " IT'S DIVISION 1 WRESTLING, IT'S THE BIG 10, if you don't like it, go play intramuals brotha...go play intramuals.
Ohio State wrestling fans should have high expectations, in this new media age the sport of wrestling has exploded for fans in OHIO,if us fans were not here, the bucks would still be wrestling in the french field house.
I root for John Carroll, Case, Mount Union, Heidelberg etc.. But Ohio State is the big boy on the block, and should be put to a higher standard.

Ok I'll bite.
Over-rated? Really? Losing to 2 of the top 4 teams in the country in back-to-back weekends with your best wrestler out hardly qualifies as over-rated. As a fan I'm disappointed but this is the 5th best team in the country right now and that's where they are ranked.

A couple things:
1) Minny did not have a good Southern Scuffle. I would be willing to wager they spent the last few weeks fixing a lot of problems and getting ready for this dual.
2) It's easy to overreact to a dual loss. Put Logan in the lineup and reverse the outcome at 197 and the final score is 18-16.
Having said that--The Bucks got their asses kicked. Paddock, Heflin and Magrum all got majored and gave up backs. Paddock redeems himself to a degree because he scored some offensive points. But the other two guys got crushed. Bucks have too many wrestlers that want to keep matches tight and then score late to win. Minny guys look to score all the time. It's an attitude difference. Tom Ryan needs to get this straightened out while there is time.

Yes Mark in my opinion as of today they are over-rated just like the Ohio State Basketball team was over-rated being 4th in the country. Just like a wrestler who was ranked 2nd in the country and I have not seen him put together a shot, re-shot scramble since his freshman year. Fact of the matter they are young and their monroville 3 are the biggest goers on the team, that does not make you 5th in the country.
