Discussion Topic: Time Warner Question
Roe Fox added to this discussion on February 16, 2008
My social life is so exciting that I'm one of those people who look for the Time Warner listings for wrestling replays.
Last Sunday it listed the Dies as being shown on Channel 23 (Akron) at 5:00 p.m. Instead it showed basketball. This wasn't the first time.
Tonight it lists the Dies as being shown at 10:00 p.m. Anyone (like Jeff Cole) have any idea whats going on or if they will actually show wrestling?

I cannot find their web site with programming schedule - how do you get your programming information setting on the easy chair

I haven't been able to find the programming online. It just says public access for the entire thing. It might be on at 10 this morning and 5 tommorow night, try that. If not, I have a DVD I could burn of the telecast. I'm going to warn you, that color commentator is pretty bad.

Pat the information is on the web site. On the left index are the categories of shows. It also has a subject search engine. For example, if you want to know the various shows in which Bergman wrestled simple type in Bergman in the Search form.
My email is either on this site or on the About tab of the Matside web site. Send me email as to your selection and I will get them made. You can register on the site to provide your information or include it in your email to me.

Pat you talked about the color commentator. Who does the play-by-play commentating? Is he pretty good?

Matt Miller, former Mentor wrestler, did the play-by-play, and did a rather good job. I was the color commentator, it was a joke. Let's just say, you can tell I've never been in front of a camera before. Between that and a viral infection, I don't sound so good.

you might have the other bug - the one that will have you doing a weekly wrestling show as practice makes perfect they say
who produces the show and runs the equipment to make the production

Sorry for the late reply. The times I have seen have always been the listings in the Beacon Journal Sports Section.

Pat - not received any email yet. I really would like to get a DVD of your show and learn more about the wrestling coverage on your local community TV channel.

Roe,
Sorry this took awhile..It's very confusing, although our station (Cable 9) is on the Time Warner system, the area you live in (Akron) is a different public access, local origination area. Cable 9 is northern Summit County and Portage (Aurora). However, I have been given the green light by the OHSAA to tape State Finals once again, and will, as in the past give a copy to the Time Warner station you are talking about. However, I can't tell you when it will air as it is up to their decisions. I hope that helped a little.
Jeff Cole

Jeff, what is your distribution across the state? What cities do you provide wrestling Channel 9 productions?
