So many things have to come together to earn a spot on an Olympic team, not the least of which is having a weight class that you are suited for. I feel like Stieber is a classic tweener. He would've been perfect for the old weight classes. Had 136.5 still been around, I think Logan Stieber is a multiple time World medalist. He's just not big enough for 145 and too big for 125. He has shown when he's at an appropriate weight, he can compete at the World level with success. He's just one of many victims of the reduction of weights in the international styles over the years.
It also speaks to how ridiculously good Diakomihalis is to be as competitive as he is at his size. I'm interested to see if Diakomihalis has put on any size in the TWO YEARS since he's been on the mat. If he's a legit 145.5 I think he's Team USA's best chance at a medal at this weight.

Yianni has competed fairly often over the past 6 months — BTS, RTC Cup, etc.

That list is everyone who has qualified. Logan is qualified for the trials but isn’t competing (to my knowledge, as he is indeed retired from competition).

I get that, although haven't watched any of his bouts. There's been a lot of speculation that he may be back down at 141 next season. I find it amazing that he's competitive giving up size like that.

I’ve seen he would’ve been at 149 this past year.

Bo Nickal as the 6 seed is unfortunate. He's better than everyone in that bracket save for Taylor and maybe Zahid.

Is it set up like a normal tourney? That would put the sixth seed on the bottom, right? In a bracket like this, there's no real "safe" draw. At least he's away from Taylor, with a legit shot at the finals.

I think 6 is fine based on his freestyle results.
Btw, when did Heflin stop wrestling at the senior level?
