Lost in the PSU match is that OSU has a pretty tough opponent this Sunday in Rutgers. This could easily be a trap match with tough opponents up and down the lineup.
125: #25 McCrone v #12 Peterson
133: #10 Buzakis v #24 Shawvyer
141: #3 Mendes vs #19 Moore
149: # 11 D’Emilio v Cetta
157: Wilcox v Del Sabtis
165: Hepner v White
174: #15 Welsh v #17 Turley
184: Rygotzge v #19 Soldano
197: #23 Geog v #16 Poznanski
285: #12 Feldman v #11 Slavakuski
OSU has been very consistent in terms of performance all year, outside of the Pitt match. Rutgers appears to have some injuries and backups in, and they don’t hand the depth that OSU does. There should be some great matches up and down the lineup. 184 should be worth the price of admission, and I’m calling it now, this will be a 15-14 type of match. 285, in my mind is a must win if Feldman is going to make all American this year. Slavakuski is a former Harvard 285 that beat Orndorf and some other notable guys in previous years. He is bigger and controls the mat well. They have comparable wins, but the Rutgers heavy does have multiple wins over some guys that have beaten Feldman. Those loses did come earlier in the year when he was struggling more, so we will see

I think the Bucks come out strong today. I'll give the State University of New Jersey 125 and 197, but in all honesty, I could see a Bucks shutout.
30-6 final, if not worse!

Crazy dual on paper. I'd like to share JJ's enthusiasm but "that's a pretty bold statement, Cotton."
Rutgers could pose a lot of problems for the Bucks on the road after an emotional Friday dual. Beating tOSU would make Rutgers season. And they draw a nice crowd.
Should be fun.

Good dual. Bucks wrestled well but the losses stung.

Not sure what is going on with Dylan but hope he figures it out over the next few weeks.
Bucks are going to need a 149 next year and hopefully Cannon grows into one.

I worry some of these losses will hurt at seeding time at Big Tens, especially Bouzakis and D'Emilio. And D'Emilio's guy was not ranked.

It was a good close match til he got put on his back. I can't help notice Ryder is not the biggest 184 pounder either, which didn't help trying to fight off his back. But he is a true freshman, he'll get stronger. I just noticed Ryder's older brother Roman wrestles 184 for Indiana, who the Bucs wrestle next Sunday. Yikes!

Rogotske and Bousakis are the ultimate feast or famine guys. Neither are good draws in the tournament if you’re a high seed, but their style also leaves a lot open to losing to lesser opponents. Shawver wrestled a great tactical match. Limit attacks and stretch the match out to the third period. Bousakis has demonstrated that he has real gaps in his ability to wrestle touch in the third period against solid opponents. While that’s a problem off the two hour weigh in I think he’s a nightmare further into a tournament.
Rogotske is fun to watch, but not positionally disciplined. He does everything you tell high school kids not to do, which makes him fun and dangerous. Against solid neutral wrestlers that finish quick and clean he might struggle this post season.
D’Emilio has struggled, but not all that dissimilar from previous seasons. He’ll clean it up in the end, but he’s a fringe AA guy. Not likely anything above round of 12 or 7th place. He will be draw dependent at nationals

Also...
Kudos to Isaac Wilcox. He went out and set a tone for the Bucks in this dual. And Bryce Hepner has been a money wrestler excepting his match up with Hamiti.

To quote one of my favorite movies, wedding crashers, he’s a stage five clinger. Funky, solid scrambler but not elite, and somewhat limited offensively. He needs guys to attack him to initiate scramble situations. Elite leg attackers like Hamiti and Messenbrink finish too quick for him to get to positions where he is good. While tough on top we haven’t seen him turn anyone of note. For my money, McCrone is a more effective top wrestler. I think he is a 2-2 or 3-2 type of wrestler at the national tournament.

Love Wedding Crashers.
I mostly agree with your characterization of Hepner but coming back like he did against UM was special. That match had "upset" written all over it but he never panicked or quit.
Speaking of McCrone, what a nice job he did against a solid Rutgers opponent. Bucks have a good problem at 125 with McCrone and Kilkeary.
