Down 5-0 against UNC came back to win 22-6. He's too good not to have somewhere in the lineup.

I thought TR might put Cannon in at 157 vs Chittum of iowa State because he beat him at the CSU 10-6, and that included a riding time point. But he didn't and Paddy lost to Chittum 10-8.

The guy was a back up 141, and now he’s getting matches 157 and 165. He’s got a long frame and a great motor. Paddy just faded in that Chittum match. He can and should win that next go around. Unfortunately, those are the types of matches he gives away sometimes. This is his year, pending health, to make a move to the podium.

Jack, my guess is Tom Ryan wanted to see how Paddy and Cannon fare against a common opponent.

Brandon cannon beat chittum and paddy lost to him.
However paddy beat panino Johnson and cannon lost 16-4.
Send them both to midlands would probably be the tiebreaker.

Love DD but I wish Cannon could man 149.

Would like to see Paddy remain at 157 next season and Cannon go up to 165. He has more length and still looks to fill out a bit more. Paddy is built for 157.

It's got me wondering, Cannon did not have a good wrestle off at 149 this year, maybe 149 was too big a cut for him? It's hard to tell because he is so tall and lanky. But instead of being the back up to DD, he shows up in Dec. at 157/165. ??? The guy definitely has a motor and some skills.

Reports that Cannon looked good are tough to buy given the beating he took from Paniro Johnson, who Paddy beat at Vegas.

Cannon got blasted with a head butt double. He was either concussed and/or nose may have been broken. If any of you have been on the receiving end of one of these, it is no picnic. Hard to regroup afterward and it was early on.

Paniro weighed in close to 150 pounds, so this definitely wasn't a size advantage.
Agree with Rex that Cannon wasn't right after the first exchange in that match. I thought he shoulda been pulled TBH.
