Anyone going? It's August 30th. A really good card of some inactive greats like Lance Palmer. Hulk Hogan was an investor prior to his death.

Tyler Caldwell at 37? Interesting. Freestyle? Collegiate? I tried to quickly find the rules but couldn’t.

A little pricey for just getting this off the ground.

Planning to go. I recognize this is an exhibition but the chance to see Nato v Ramos is too good to pass up. Plus Gomez and Palmer have had some great smack talk. And any chance to watch Jason Nolf is a reason to attend

Based on your statement, I looked at the price.
IMO, they are out of their minds with admission priced like that.

We had booked a family getaway for that weekend before this event was even announced, so I won't be able to watch it. Had we been in town I would have considered, but now that I see those prices, maybe not. At those ticket prices, admission for my two sons and I plus parking and concessions would have cost about as much as our vacation!

Wondering the same, also if each match has the same rules and if freestyle, if they are simply going by International guidelines as if this were worlds or Olympics?

Forgot to mention: one of the billboards near our house recently started advertising RAF. That was a pleasant surprise.

I hope this succeeds but am afraid it won’t.

Lance Palmer is one of my favorite competitors in NCAA history. But I have little interest in watching him get stomped by a much younger Austin Gomez at age 37. Same goes for many other bouts on this card.

The sport of wrestling isn’t lacking for events. The calendar begins in November with college opens and rolls through September with the world championships.

On more weekends than not we can turn on Flo or ESPN and watch high stakes matches with major consequences on the line.

So tell me again why do we need RAF.

Im going. Not sure how to value the ticket price. Cant go to many professional events for a lower price....maybe baseball? Hell, Browns tickets are $100 and unless you like getting wasted in a parking lot and watching terrible football i cant imagine paying for that.

I believe the sport could grow with a successful professional league. I do think this venue is to big for the first event but when i bought tickets it looked like many seats were already sold.

Had a great time last night at RAF01. Love the idea of a fight card style event over a tournament. Awesome to see Nato win. Gomez interview was entertaining. Dake was impressive. Wyat is a big dude in person.

I thought he had been helping at CVCA. I still don’t see him on the CB roster.

Do they have an OTC?

I could really be wrong, but I thought he had gone out there as an assistant a year or two ago, then his wife was hired at John Carroll, and it seemed like he was traveling back and forth a bit just from casual observation of social media. I think he is a dad now, that may have changed things.
