I’m not buying echemendia to Ohio state. In echemendias word he was kicked off the team and left homeless at Ohio state. Iowa will pay much better also. While he is probably a top 3-4 finisher I can’t see him coming back to Columbus. Doubt Tom Ryan is entertaining this.

While I think most of us would be in the same line of thinking as Nick I also don’t think Willie is in the business of selling inaccurate info. Whatever the true story is, what does that say for Shaw, Stiles, Cannon, and Birden in terms of their spots in the lineup. There were also the rumors of Paddy seeking an extra year. Speculative times! 174 still remains the largest question mark.

I, too, can’t see Echemendia coming back for a few reasons but I could also see TR finding a redemption story.

I think 27 is a guess. He could be 30 for all we know. Who actually knows how old he really was when he came to the US. Either way, 27 is wild..

Ech to Ohio State makes a lot of sense if you're looking to fill 149. I'd be surprised but not that much. Money talks.
And regardless of what anyone is saying in April, my guess is we'll see Stiles and Cannon both up a wt next season.

Reports are that Enchemendia turned Ohio State down and is on Iowa’s campus with Bastida, both looking at the freestyle training situation. Part payday, part international training situation.
Paddy was a great story this year, but his track record of injuries and under performance over a five year period lead me to wish him well elsewhere. You have an equally competitive guy in Birden that has three years of eligibility remaining. I also think Shaw, if he can even make 149, is a plausible guy for the weight. You can still recruit and develop guys. That hasn’t gone completely out of the window.
