Of course he’s going to turn down the offer. Stiles got 6th place and received 75k. Same as echemendia did last year. Iowa is paying 3-5 times more money than that. I do not understand why an offer was even made. What was Tom Ryan going to say if he accepted the offer? I just think that’s just bad pr all over the place. He would have to publicly make up excuses tha contradict what he says he stands for.
If Ohio state is going after echemendia then they my as well go after Ferrari. Ferrari is a title contender at 197. Him and barr would probably be cofavorites. A healthy feldman is the favorite next year at heavyweight. Probably a trophy team
If you make that move. Him and tom Ryan are a good fit with their faith at least. To win trophies you need title contenders. Not low all Americans. Paddy Gallagher scored 5 points at nationals. Need guys in top three. P.J. Duke actually scored more points taking third than the national champ at 157. The point system needs tweaked also.

Wrestlers like Levi Haines and Jesse Mendez, who wrestled 4 years straight out of high school, are looking more and more likely to get a 5th year of eligibility.
There is increased momentum around 5 for 5. Many coaches believe and expect it to become reality sooner rather than later.
Nothing certain, but you should know these are the realities coaches are preparing for as we speak.

The rule is going to pass eventually. Hopefully we keep Jesse one more year. The best man will wrestle from here on out. Davino could have possibly won a national championship and Rocco Welsh wouldn’t have been mad and left if we knew this rule was going to pass. Rocco and Davino basically wasted a year of eligibility by redshirting.
If this passes Bouzakis is going to have to go 125 again. Then he will have to beat out Mills. If Mills is the best wrestler he will wrestle. No more true freshman sitting in the bench if they are the best at the weight. They want to exhaust all five years.
If Levi Haines comes back that would create even a huger logjam at Penn state. That will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Bryce Hepner did better at UNC than he did at tOSU, so who knows what the change of scenery might do for Geog (if true) and McCrone.
