The point of andy not being able to take over until after the olympics is a valid one and would be an issue. I still would love for them to take the shot and hire someone that can grow with the program. Another asset for andy is his strengh training and conditioning with Borment at his gyn in illinois. That guy is a beast and would be an awesome coach. But he has those roots in illinois.
So if we can't get Andy then Erik it is, this guy has more credibility with training ohio guys than anyone. He knows everyone and everyone knows him at all levels. He's to humble to admit it but the guy has real juice and he's earned it. You put someone like that in the program and many guys would line up for him. He's real and he knows how to handle wrestlers.
My sentimental vote is for the General Mr. Storey. He's a man of great respect and I love him dearly. He kept me centered and on a solid road. I use his words of wisdom often. I should of taken him to college he would have centered me, when I wasn't and that's why he should be the coach, he knows how to handle knuckleheads.

ok guys, good catch, i figured there was an exception or two out there but i couldnt think of them---- from high school to College Div I head coach, yes Scott Goodale from Jackson Memorial NJ took over at Rutgers and Kevin Dresser former U of Iowa NCAA champ from Christiansburg VA took over at Virginia Tech.
but its unusual, most College ADs would shy away from it. But as u pointed out, it happens. Not knowing CSU's AD Lee Reed personally i cant say whether he would entertain the idea or not.
Having followed the high school national scene closely i do know that Goodale who wrestled at Lock Haven and founded a great program at Jackson NJ that was ranked # 8 by AWN in 2007.
Dresser of course carries the Golden Aura of Iowa U and founded a great program at Christiansburg where he regularly put out top 10 and top 20 nationally ranked teams.--- So there is a reason both were considered for College in their respective states.
And both must have INTERVIEWED very well, don't underestimate the power of a great interview with the College Search committee. Its a must.

Cleveland State is serious about wrestling and is very serious about making improvements to the university so that it continues its transformation from a commuter college to a great place to live and go to school (aka "the college experience").
In two or three years, Cleveland State plans to have
TRIPLED
their number of students living on campus.
I didn't see it until recently, but it really seems like CSU President Michael Schwartz has been leading the administration on the right path toward the university realizing its potential.
If things continue the way they have been going, a decade from now Cleveland State will be a very different place (in a good way).
