By the way, that swimmer who keeps winning gold...where'd he go to school?"

I don't think he had good enough grades to get into OSU. He'll be sorry, though, getting by on those cheap endorsements after winning his next 4 golds.

My guess is the others are just fine with their choice of a far better academic institution. <thumbsup> <cool>

NO one who was admitted to Michigan would ever have been rejected by OSU. NO ONE!
I grew up in Ohio with the rivalry IN ATHLETICS. NO one will ever be able to say with a straight face and a clear conscience that OSU is the better school academically, or even comparable. There is a reason why Michigan can charge the highest out-of-state tuition in the country and still have non-Michigan residents beating down the door. <thumbsup>

Ohio State is comparable to Meeeeechigan. There, I said it. And yes, Gary, I am yanking hard on that chain.
Boy, I cannot wait for football and wrestling season.
Go Hrovat! (didn't want to totally hijack this topic). I predict he medals. Sort of flying under the radar but has a substantial amount if international experience. I don't see the pressure getting to him.

I suppose it depends on how loosely you define "comparable".
Michigan would compare, regarding public schools, with Cal and Virginia. OSU would be more in line with Iowa and Penn State.
And again, there is a reason why Michigan can charge more than any other public school <smile>

Because they have to pay for an overpriced football coach and it takes a dogsled and compass to find the place.

Isn't Columbus "cowtown"? <smile>
But I do agree about the current football coaching situation. <thumbsdown>

Yes but it fancies itself quite the cosmopolitan cowtown.
