Spencer will still likely win a fourth title, which puts him in rarified air. Poor Pat Smith always gets the shaft in terms of recognition, but if Spencer wins his fourth I think he’s probably not going to be too far up that four timer list. It’s like picking winners at the Ms Universe pageant, but it’s fun to debate. What guys do after college plays some of a role as well. At this point, with damaged knees, and a missed shot at the Olympics that pits Spencer at 25ish for 2024. Will he still be viable at 57kg and in one piece? I put it at greater than 50% that he never makes an Olympic team due to health. Not a good sign that your body is falling apart at 20/21.
