125-Suriano dominated the first four minutes of wrestling and then stalled the last three. For the love of God, there needs to be an objective measure of stalling in place. Everyone has an opinion. Let's move towards objectivity and away from feels.
133-RBY-Winner by athleticism; Recruited not taught.
141-Played out in a way that I understood. Kizhan shot his wad in the first thirty and his position and ability were negatively impacted thereafter. He is a guy with more time under his belt and a better training situation from the get-go could have been atop the podium. Props to Nick Lee for being Nick Lee.
149-Yianni wrestled his match and did not allow Lovett any opportunities to engage his positions. He's chasing perfection. Good luck with it. I'll steal from Bill and Ted, Just be excellent and love yourself even when things don't go as intended.
157-Quincy blew it. Not sure what he was thinking at the end but the old adage of giving up two instead of backs always applies. Maybe he was so concerned about being underneath Deakin that he threw all his chips on the table and fought the last battle right there which lost the war.
165-What can I say about this dude? It's what happens when a high wrestling IQ gets the right culture instilled upon him from a young age and the continuation of culture and coaching leads to an excellent, confident wrestler. He has the mental acuity and skillset to compete and resonate with excellence. Plus, he used Shout at the Devil by the Crue as his walkout song. Badass. Shane is a special talent as well.
174-OMG, Carter Starocci was channeling Cael Sanderson. I love Mekhi. That dude is humble. He wears his emotions yet is a total poker face during the match. He has crazy good abilities. Just needs some attention to detail to beat Starocci.
184-Seemed an inevitability to me. Brooks was'nt losing to Amine in straight sets. Plus, he kind of made it look easy last night.
197-Winner by association.
285-Glad that Schultz put up a fight and did'nt roll over for Steveson.
