Ohio state nearly stole him away from Arizona state. I was very disappointed in not getting him. Think he will be a superstar. Didn't Flo buy Trackwrestling? Track is so much easier to navigate, filter by team, see team scores, etc. No clue why Flo wants to continue with their crappy Arena product. Just a better product, even with the constant annoying ads. Bracket Thoughts 125 – Malik is the 4. Should get to the quarters easy, and then a matchup with Figueroa. I think Malik uses his senior savy to get a 1 point win and then loses to DeAugustino. I’m sticking with Malik in the 3rd place match. 133 – Koontz is back at the scene of his best weekend as a Buckeye. I think he goes 1-2 on the weekend. 141 – D’Emilio is back and seeded 6th. I think he gets to the quarters, but I’m worried that Crook’s pace will do him in after a layoff. Not sure if his conditioning will be where it normally would be. I’ve got him losing there but battling back to place. 4th-6th is my projection. 149 – Sammy is your #1 without Yianni. I don’t like Thomas in the semis, he always gives Sammy fits. I think the extra rest will help and he will win the whole thing. 157 – No one here for the Bucks. Feel like they could have sent someone. 165 – Carson is the #1 seed. No Amine. Anything less than a title here would be considered a disappointment. Carson is 3-0 against Ramirez, the 2 seed. 174 – Wish Smith could have ended up on the bottom side of the bracket. I see him getting to the semis, where he unfortunately will have Lewis. Smith drops down to the consis and takes 3rd. 184 – Romero gets a rematch with Bolen in the quarters. I think he wins that again. Another rematch, this one with Hidlay, awaits in the semis. Romero can win that one, but given that he lost 3-2 last year, I will go with Hidlay. Kaleb takes 3rd. 197 – I really like Hoffman’s draw. I think he can make the finals on a good weekend. I don’t have enough faith to predict he wrestles at that level for 4 straight matches. I think he drops one somewhere. I have him 5th. 285 – Davidson pinned Orndorff in less than a minute the last time they wrestled. I’ve got Orndorff placing, but probably 7th. Team – I think all of the normal starters will place. I would have liked to have seen Bouzakis at 133. You get 5 events, use them. Maybe he’s dinged. Would like to have seen someone at 157. I have always hated track. I shouldn't say "always." There was a time about 15 years ago when I was thrilled with it... the trouble is that they never improved upon it since then, and they've always forced you to click, click, click to confirm you're still present, and get as many clicks for ad revenue as possible.
