Jim, that seems unlikely. Shumate was at 197 to start last season. 174 seems like an impossible cut.
Who knows why he didn’t get a match Tuesday. Rogotzke got two and Hoffman one. Maybe he’s hurt or maybe the staff reasoned that it was time to start narrowing the contenders.
More likely than him cutting to 174 is him bulking to 197 to challenge Geog.
