Discussion Topic: Midlands have any Buckeye's wrestling?

Quote from Hank Kornblut's post:
|
"Cannon wins 4 straight on the backside before falling 12-11 to the 3rd seed. He's going for 7th."
|
He got gassed in the third. The Illinois kid is their starter so we should see Jesse wrestle him in Jan. Cannon wrestled well but needs to finish better on his TDs. But again these are freshmen and it's time to learn and adjust to college wrestling. I'm glad to see so many of the young Bucs in this tournament. TR doesn't typically participate in the Midlands so this was a pleasant surprise.

Cannon wasn't a big time recruit. He's the Craig Porter Jr. of this team. If you don't know, Craig Porter, Jr is an undrafted rookie who has play very well for the Cleveland Cavs.

Does a guy like Cannon stick around and earn All American status for the Buckeyes someday or does a guy like that enter the portal and contribute somewhere at the end of his career?

Looks to me like 149 is waiting for Cannon when D’Emilio moves on. D’Emilio is a RS senior but can return next year for what would be a sixth year.
