Not sure what McCrone was thinking with that upper body lock?
Nic walked into every TD
Dylan was scared to get tossed and did nothing
Wilcox wrestled well just very difficult to score on Lewan

UM showed up to wrestle and had the better wrestler in every match up.
What ticks me off is ff to Mendez. Lemley is sick, hurt...fine. But you have a big crowd and a televised bout and you can't find someone to put on the mat? UM has the best team money can buy. That's bullsht and they should be fined in my opinon.

Just knew Griffith was going to ride Rocco for the win. Still, I agree with the choice to take down. Rocco had 90 seconds to get away and take the lead. Gotta go with those odds.
Michigan is very focused tonight.

Hepner’s match was nuts I don’t know how he wrestles like that
Rocco can go with anyone. I know Griffith would ride him
Ryder should be the starter at 184

Wow! What a match. Feldman seals the win just as he did against Cornell. Dude’s tough.
A fun season this has been.

Listen…I don’t think anyone drew it up that way. Ohio State! Cardiac kids. In all honesty Bourmet coaches himself out of that dual. Highly unlikely that Mendez pins Lemley, and although Bryce owns a win over Amine I’m not sure how replicable that is. Rip the Rygotzge shirt. Starting the chant now

Jared, something happened where Lemley couldn’t go. Bormet would’ve loved to have had him in the lineup.
Speaking of coaching decisions, how about Tom Ryan starting Ryder Rogotzke. Without it tonight is probably a loss.

If they put a body out there, would that person get pinned??
I’m not sure. Maybe he does; maybe he doesn’t. But if not… :-o
Who wins on criteria???

TR said in the post match interview Shumate and Rogotzke both weighed in and the decision was made to put Ryder out there. He said its his last dual before they have to decide to pull the RS, so we will see. If he wrestles from this point on the RS is pulled. BTW I thought Bryce was going to crank that kids arm out of his socket with that half nelson Bo Jordon style!

Bucks got beaten up 125, 133 and 149 against 3 probable AA's.
Hepner saved the dual at 165 by defeating a very tough true frosh in a come from behind.
Last four wts the Bucks started 4 frosh, won 3 times with the only loss being Welsh vs Griffith.
Bucks started 6 frosh tonight and beat a very experienced UM squad.
Rogotzke loves to put on a show. Feldman wrestled his best match of the season.

Michigan Twitter said Lemley was flagged at skin checks. Puzzling….when’s the last time a college guy got flagged at a skin check? I have to think very rare. Amine sure looked like he thought he was wrestling right up until they sent the other kid out

Tom Ryan said Rogotzke got the nod because the coaches wanted to see him in a pressure situation before deciding whether to make him the permanent starter. He destroyed a good opponent, 21-0, with the dual on the line.
Rogotzke is now out of matches that don’t count against his eligibility. I’d bet we see him next week against Penn State and Bernie Truax.
Tom Ryan was asked about Rocco choosing down to start the third period. He said it was a tough decision but they sensed Griffith tiring and they thought he’d get out. Keep in mind, Rocco had built up over 30 seconds of riding time. It was the right decision.

Great match! After the first few matches I was ready to come on here and vent, but I stepped away from the keyboard and low and behold the bucks pull it out. I would love to know how much money just got beat by the homegrown buckeye crew? I wonder if mich lightweights regret mocking the covelli crowd with post match antics?
If I were a mich fan I would be torching Bormet right now.
Big props to Hepner. Great example of how 3pt takedown has made wrestling better.
Feldman is gaining legend status quick with these home dual heroics.
Go Bucks!
