Bob, you are correct and if my son does not have a tournament that conflicts we might very well attend next year.

i don't want to jinx us but next seasons IRONMAN could well be the toughest Ironman field ever, waiting on a couple teams still--- hope u can make it Dec 5 & 6. Its the only tourn Blair Academy gets any real comp, beaten there the last 2 years.

Bob:
Good call on St. Edward being the defending national champs. That slipped my mind when I posted. What a team they had last year!
The Ironman is the #1 tournament in the country. Of course there are TONS of excellent tournaments around the nation - just look locally and you'll find incredible competition at the Brecksville Holiday Tournament. The Pennsylvania state championships, the Ohio state championships, California's, New Jersey's, New York's, etc. are all awesome. There is only one #1 though... and that's right here in Cuyahoga Falls.
You say this is going to be the toughest Ironman ever - that's a bold statement considering what you've done so far! I can't wait to see the list of teams coming this year.

well Dan C,
bold action leads to bold statements, after all why be timid ? all the old toughies are coming back, which is the case every year, so if we keep replacing re-building teams with better new ones it adds up. You can bet Blair Academy is practicing
as we speak
, they are not used to 2nd place and not liking it either.
we were a bit down in our PA reps last season, that will change, perhaps dramatically change.
After a couple super
California
years, we were off a bit there too from what we got use to the elites Jason Welch, Billy Murphy, Nikko Triggas, Novachkov bros, et all--- but that will change for the better.
Rudy Dizon
of Brentwood Liberty Calif who started this thread has indicated he wants to come back, too.
Fact is Bill Barger is so concerned he has indicated grief counsellors will be on hand to console the emotionally stricken and crestfallen next Dec 5 & 6.

We are definitely coming back Ironman next year. I am trying to tell all the other California Studs I know to attend.
But back to the real topic of this thread I was trying to get feedback on Jordans camp.....

"Fact is Bill Barger is so concerned he has indicated grief counsellors will be on hand to console the emotionally stricken and crestfallen next Dec 5 & 6."- HAHA Bob, that's the funniest thing I have ever heard you say (well, in the internet sense that one hears). I can't wait for this tourney.
We are somewhat spoiled in NEO with great tournaments. The Ironman, Brecksville, Medina, Dies, and then the bevy of tough districts, Firestone and Perry sticking out. It really makes it fun to be a wrestling fan.

Pat,
having dealt with other areas of the country for years, i believe
the Greater Cleveland area
may very well
have more very good high school tourn than any other area of the country.
Thats not bias, just observation. I am including Akron and Massillion in this area. Fans here are spoiled--- i think thats why sometimes fan turnout is not what it should be. Spoiled.
Rudy,
contact Dan Fickel of Wr USA magazine
, he takes his son who is a very good 8th grade wrestler every summer to Jordans camp--- Dan likes it alot. Dan hangs around to observe things too, so he knows what its all about. Contact him at dfickel@netlink.net
