Yes both these results are contingent on sasso and kharchla being healthy. Maybe surgery is what Carson always needed. If they are not close to 100 percent then they both are big underdogs. I was saying in a perfect world where both return to prime form.

"People love to forget how good a healthy Kharchla can be. The one who was close to beating otoole but got completely screwed by the ref. The one who beat Mekhi Lewis and marinelli. If kharchla comes back from surgery at 100 percent no one is a huge favor against Kharchla ecspecially a guy who went up 2 weights. While it may be wishful thinking to get him healthy an entire season, we have seen a healthy Carson in the past and he is very good."
|
Your unending faith in Kharchla is admirable, but the fact that you have to bring up results from 2022 already proves the point.
Haines is an undefeated national champ, and PSU has a strong track record when bumping guys."
|
Here is another result. Facundo 6-0 over Haines a couple months ago. Will Haines even beat Facundo? An unhealthy Kharchla went 1-1 against Facundo. The size right now does matter. Facundo also gave JB a very good match. There is a possibility that Haines isn’t even the starter. Penn state problems.

Bucks X account just posted a video for Dual on 14th with Sammy and it ends with him saying he is back.

That is great news. TR said Sammy was good to go before wrestle-offs but hurt his ankle, so they kept him out. I'm curious to see if he can follow in the footsteps of guys that moved up in weight their last year and were successful, like Keaton Anderson and Nick Heflin.

Do we know what weight he's going? Or is it speculation?

Speculating on this potential lineup:
125: McCrone/Kilkeary
133: Davino/Bouzakis
141: Mendez
149: D'Emilio
157: Paddy/Sasso
165: Sasso/Hepner
174: Kharchla
184: Welsh/Rogotzke
197: Geog/Shumate
285: Feldman

Could you see Paddy at 165 is Sasso is at 157? That might be the optimal lineup bb

Hefner just beat 10th ranked Mayfield 4-0 so perhaps he is starting to come around.

I've watched the twitter announcement about Sasso several times and I still don't get the context. What is the speaker trying to say? Yes, I get the gist.

That he is even getting back on a mat is a winning considering the damage he took. He's up two weight classes and nerve damage doesn't just go away. Might improve slowly over time.
If he makes it back in a high capacity, that is a miracle.
A lot of the stories that you hear about doctors saying you'll never do something again and the athlete going on to win at the highest level are embellishments or doctors that really don't know what they are talking about.
Life can turn on a dime. It's not that it is unfair but rather we are the mercy of chaotic things out of our control. Some things are awful and the measure of who you are is where do you go from here.

I thought Sammy looked very good as he did two things effectively that are hallmark of his wrestling against UTC. He created scrambles that scored and kept the pressure on his opponent by moving forward.
Looking forward to watching him compete more. Motivating to see a wrestler come back from that amount of trauma and compete at this level.
If he competes in Vegas and places, that is hugely impressive and reminds me of the extreme will power people muster when faced with extreme adversity.

Just got home and want to watch the match. It's not on BTN Plus. Where do I find it?
