Discussion Topic: Collegiate Duals 21-22

Cannon is not large 157 if that helps to answer your question about 165. He’s taller and looks very competitive. If he started over Paddy I would not see the lineup losing much momentum. Love his motor.
Positives from the weekend. McCrone is a bonus point machine against everyone that he should beat. I still contend that he needs a leg attack to get on the podium, but I hope I’m wrong. Davino is an AA threat right now. The Cuban from ISU is pretty legit and Ben dispatched him in veteran fashion. He and Bousakis are only going to make each other better. Not sure what the plan is next year. Cannon looked good, as indicated above. Great to see Carson back in action. He’s still an elite finisher when he gets to the legs. There doesn’t seem to be any urgency to ride guys at all. I’m not sure he’s in the same tier as O’toole and Haines.
Questions and concerns. D’Emilio is solid and bigger than last year for the weight. Will that be enough to sneak back in the podium? My guess is he’s draw dependent. Likewise for Paddy. 165, 184, and 197 are serviceable with guys we have rotating in there, but not nationally competitive. Even at 184 I’m not sure Rygotske is going to sniff the round of 12. He’s too inconsistent. Sammy didn’t look like he traveled, but I could’ve sworn that Hepner was in the background. He and Feldman were present and warmed up but did not take the mat. Injuries appear to still be the driver of this first half of the season. Headed into Big Ten duals the Bucks are deep but need to get healthy. Outside of the PSU duals OSU will be in tight bouts with Illinois and Minnesota, especially with holes in the lineup.
