I loved this dual. There was some excellent wrestling in each match despite the lack of attempts and scores.
125 Peterson is legit; he was one step ahead of McCrone counters. He knew what was coming and adjusted accordingly.
133 Bouzakis really wants to win badly, his style of wrestling relies heavily on his physicality and ability to overwhelm. Shawver is game and a really smart wrestler. The sequence in which Shawver scored was a case study in itself.
141 People love to see domination. Honestly, I watch to see contested positions and who has done their homework. This was a mismatch and maybe the least interesting as Hermes wasn't able to test Jesse at all.
149 D'Emilio has really good riding skills and a gas tank. I liked when he was firing off more attacks a couple years ago but things change. As you become more efficient, that sometimes results in less attacks.
157 I thought Sammy deserved 7 for the Peterson roll. But my opinion doesn't really matter so there is that.
165 I might walk back my statement from Friday's performance. Birden is in the learning curve. He can look fabulous and then pedestrian. His physique reminds me of 2x AA Eric Smith from the Buckeyes. All legs and arms. For nostagia sake, would love to see him hit a head snap double. Eric would stand around too long sometimes as well, but when he attacked it was awesome.
174 Kharchla has limited mobility once on the mat and Turley is a gamer. Kharchla did a nice job of stalemating and eliminating the leg pass.
184 As mentioned before; a takedown will suffice and go a long way towards winning the match.
197 6:50 of great wrestling. Two takedowns waived off. Need to finish low. In the takedown, Poz scored at the end, got suckered into the hand fight game and essentially double reached. That's not a lack of toughness. That's a lack of preparation and detail work. So close.
285 Nick "no mistakes" Feldman; I'll take that performance every day and all day.

Interesting to see Sammy in the lineup yesterday. Is he the presumptive starter for the rest of the season?
And yes that a TD and back points off a petersen. Beautiful piece of technique.

After the referee review and they came back to wrestle Sammy had ten seconds of riding time showing (unless I am somehow mistaken). Having ten seconds of riding time in the Peterson position how could he have not had back points?
